"HERE COMES THE SUN" - THE BEATLES
Celebrated as the best-selling musicians of all time with a near billion records sold, The Beatles--John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr--were the next musical sensation across the globe after Elvis Presley. Often dubbed "The Fab Four," they went from playing skiffle beats in Liverpool to becoming major pioneers in the evolution of rock and roll. Like "The King", The Beatles won the hearts of America with their debut appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964 and spearheaded the music industry's first 'British Invasion". The Beatles' popularity flooded into a sea of fan hysteria known as "Beatlemania". With Lennon/McCartney infamously battling songwriting recognition, it might come as a surprise that "Here Comes the Sun" was written by Harrison (in Eric Clapton's home garden on the brink of Spring) providing the band this optimistic tune for the Abbey Road album and evidently the most popular non-single release from their to epic catalog.
